OBJECTIVES | ||||||||||||
Tourism and Hospitality Management as a study cycle aims to combine management and innovation with tourism. Due to the emerging challenges facing tourism regarding constant technological and scientific advances and currently also due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is necessary to increase and diversify the offer of specialized training in the area, with the aim of training tourism professionals that are increasingly skilled, more capable, more efficient and more effective, in order to respond to current, future, and real situations that arise with increasing frequency, whether at regional, national and/or international level.Management, innovation and tourism are interdisciplinary areas that make this an excellent educational offer, one that will respond to current and future market demands, namely issues related to innovation, management, sustainability, digital information and technology. Our goal is to prepare knowledgeable tourism professionals from different technical and scientific areas (management, tourism and hospitality), with the objective of enhancing tourism, through the application of developed, updated and consolidated knowledge. ACHIEVEMENT PROFILE | ||||||||||||
The Degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management intends to provide students with supervision skills and/or responsibility for the application and transmission of specialized expert knowledge of medium-higher level, with general instrumental skills in the framework of tourist activity interpersonal and human resource management; systemic and conceptual. The graduate in Tourism and Hospitality Management will be able to: » Coordinate and operate tourist activities/operations in public and private institutions; » Design, organize and manage specialized tourism operations; » Coordinate and control the different functional areas of tourist companies; » Manage different types of companies/accommodation units; » Posses interpersonal, scientific and technical relationships to propose and evaluate theoretical and practical solutions to the complex problems currently facing the different tourism areas. |
